Sussex House
KITCHEN & BAR, GATWICK AIRPORT

Emma Wood Interiors breathed new life into a restaurant and bar at Gatwick North Terminal, transforming both the interiors and branding into a vibrant, locally inspired space. Drawing on the Sussex countryside and its rich cultural heritage, the team embraced the legacy of writers, artists, and poets who cherished the area.
The design featured a palette of vibrant greens, rich reds, and burgundies, with pops of colour from the floor tiles, adding a sense of fun. Specially commissioned elements by Bloomsbury Revisited artist Jane McCall—including paintings, murals, and lampshades—added a unique artistic touch. Cozy library nooks, faux ivy on the mezzanine, and a glitzy bar completed the stylish, welcoming space that brought a sense of place to the bustling airport.
